Amanda's passion for photography started thanks to the beautiful scenery of The Henry Ford and the Henry Ford Estate of Dearborn, MI. For her high school graduation gift, her parents gave her a Canon SLR and the collection of lenses and filters grew fast. She would sneak off to local historic sites and spend hours taking photos. For Amanda photography has always been her happy place. Behind the lens of a camera nothing else matters.
In 2008 Amanda made the jump and moved from Dearborn, MI to Baton Rouge, LA. It has really been the last few years of exploring a whole new world that has brought out her creative side. Louisiana has so much history, beauty, and detail that you just don't find anywhere else.
It has been Amanda's love for photographing dragonflies that has really shown her how to focus on the simple things and pay attention to detail. It can often take hours of sitting still and slow delicate movements to get the perfect shot of ever moving nature.
It is Amanda's pleasure to finally share her passion with you in hopes that she can bring a little happiness to your life as photography has to hers.
